The three occupants of a Islington home west of Christchurch which caught alight this morning are all accounted for, the Fire Service says.
Spokesperson Mike Wanoa said the Fire Service received several calls from the public around 8.20am reporting a house fire on Matangi St.
Two fire appliances were called and the house was "fully involved" by the time they arrived at the scene, Mr Wanoa said. The blaze was under control by 9am.
A father and his two young sons were all accounted for, he said, and were receiving victim support.
Mr Wanoa did not know how the fire started or how much damage was caused to the home.
