Oamaru hospital strike extended

Oamaru Hospital staff are planning more strikes.

Kay Squires of the Nurses Organisation said staff would strike on October 28, 29 and 30 in addition to the strike dates of October 20 and 23 announced last week.

The nurses' union, along with staff in the Public Services Association, has been seeking a 7.5 per cent pay rise over two years. Waitaki District Health Services has offered 1.9 per cent.
