New Zealand's longest serving inmate is to remain in jail.
Alfred Vincent has spent 45 years in prison for a long history of sexual offending.
He has confessed to abusing more than 100 children but only been convicted for 13 of his crimes.
Prior to his latest parole hearing it was suggested the Salvation Army could house Vincent upon his release.
But his parole has been declined because any accommodation available was only of a short term nature and wouldn't be able to adequately manage the high risk offender.
