New Zealand's first biodiesel station has opened in Queenstown.
The Queenstown Lakes Biodiesel Consortium will supply B20 blended biodiesel -- 20 per cent biodiesel and 80 per cent standard diesel -- to commercial vehicles.
The consortium, set up by Otago Polytechnic Centre for Sustainable Practice, is a one-year pilot programme to test summer and winter blends and access commercial viability.
