Two NZME radio programmes have won awards at a worldwide radio competition in New York.
The Anzac Centenary Tribute, a four-part 2015 Anzac documentary commemorating the Gallipoli landings voiced by Leighton Smith on Newstalk ZB, won two awards at the New York Festival's World Best Radio Programmes ceremony.
Writer/director Josh Couch won a gold award for Best Writing, and the programme won a silver award for Best History Documentary.
The Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids' Show broadcast on Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport on Christmas morning won a silver award for Best Children's Show, while director Phil Guyan won a Bronze award for Best Director.
Jack Tame, Rachel Smalley and Smith all contributed to the children's show through reading children's stories, and in Tame's case, also through singing.
