SYDNEY - A New Zealander charged over a crash in Sydney's Chinatown, which left one person on life support and two others injured, has been granted bail at Parramatta local court.
Poasa Logoua, who lives in Punchbowl in Sydney's southwest, was granted bail by registrar David Piper.
He has been charged with mid-range drink driving and being a disqualified driver.
The 30-year-old scaffolder, a married father of four, has been ordered to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on June 26.
Police said a Toyota Landcruiser was travelling south on Sussex Street at about 1pm yesterday when it mounted the footpath and hit the three pedestrians at the intersection of Hay Street.
A 35-year-old woman was taken to St Vincents Hospital with critical head injuries, and she remains on life support.
The two other pedestrians, a man aged 61 and a woman aged 24, were also taken to hospital with various injuries including a broken leg.
