A New Zealand woman died in her Queensland home on Friday night in a fire, apparently started when a lit cigarette set her mattress alight, the Sunshine Coast Daily reported.
Neighbours who rushed to the home of Annie Cummins, 61, at Mapleton, near Nambour, north of Brisbane, found the blaze which already consumed most of the bedroom.
