A New Zealand Army patrol have come under fire from a group of insurgents in Afghanistan.
The Defence Force said the confrontation occurred in Bamyan province late Sunday morning.
The insurgents used small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades but there were no New Zealand casualties.
