KEY POINTS:
New Zealand troops flying home from assignment in Afghanistan are due early on Anzac Day, NZ Defence Force said today.
One hundred and ten men and women, the 11th rotation of the provincial reconstruction team, are due at Ohakea at 4.40am on Friday.
They will be welcomed home by Commander Joint Forces, Major General Rhys Jones.
The troops began their trip home after a change-of-command ceremony in Afghanistan on Sunday when Colonel Brendon Fraher handed over to replacement personnel and their leader Colonel Darryl Tracy.
