New Zealand will provide a further $6 million to help Samoa recover from its most devastating cyclone in 21 years.
Thousands were displaced and 14 people were killed when Cyclone Evan struck in December last year.
Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said the extra funding would bring New Zealand's total support to Samoa since the cyclone to $12.6 million.
He said the Samoan Government was working as quickly as possible to repair and rebuild, and New Zealand was committed to supporting that effort.
"This funding will go toward general reconstruction activities, with a focus on rebuilding for resistance to future natural disasters.
