Aucklander Sean McCullough leads the graduation parade at the Royal Military College Duntroon, Canberra.
Lieutenant McCulloch, 23, is the first New Zealand cadet since 1974 to top his class and only the 12th New Zealander to hold this position in the 95-year history of the college.
He was also presented with one of Australia's top military awards, the Australian Defence Force Academy's Sword of Honour, as the most outstanding graduate in military and academic fields.
