A New Zealand Army officer is to face a court martial following the wounding of a British Royal Marine officer during an incident in Bosnia last year.
The army has confirmed the officer will face one charge of causing grievous bodily harm, and three of committing an act likely to prejudice service discipline.
It is alleged the British officer was shot in the thigh in the central Bosnian city of Vitez.
The decision to lay charges comes at the end of a lengthy investigation by New Zealand military police, who travelled to Bosnia last year.
The court martial will be held at Waiouru and is set down for two weeks in May.
