A New Zealand Post driver was allowed to keep his job despite three drink-driving convictions, One News reported.
NZ Post hired David Conza to deliver mail in the Manawatu three years ago even though he had two drink-driving convictions - one in 1995 and another in 2003.
The state-owned enterprise then kept Conza on after he received a third conviction this month, providing he obtained a license for work.
However, NZ Post's John Tullock said Conza has now been suspended following news he received another conviction two weeks ago for driving while disqualified.
Mr Tullock told One News Conza had not informed them of this offence.
"He's not been straight up with us," Mr Tullock told OneNews.
"It's been very frustrating for us to get the correct information, so enough's enough, and we've just got to take this guy off the road," he said.
Mr Tullock said it was unlikely that Conza would drive with the company again.
"I don't want to pre-judge it but I would say that the outlook's not good," said Tullock.
