KEY POINTS:
New Zealand police consultant Mary Schollum will help make Irish history tonight when she testifies to a corruption inquiry in Ireland by video link from Wellington.
Her appearance would be the first time state-of-the-art video technology had been used by a witness at an Irish judicial inquiry, The Irish Examiner newspaper said today.
The corruption inquiry is addressing allegations of the 1990s and early 2000s against the Garda, Ireland's national police force.
Ms Schollum will be asked about on best practice techniques for police interrogation.
