A second group of oil spill experts has left to help with the clean up of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Maritime New Zealand last month sent sent two experts from its Marine Pollution Response Service, who were due to be replaced by three others in the next few days.
MNZ spokeswoman Sophie Hazelhurst said New Zealand had helped out at several oil contamination incidents, including three in Australia in the past year.
