KEY POINTS:
A funeral service will be held in Blenheim tomorrow for a man who died when he fell 30 metres from a hotel balcony in Australia.
Damian Alistair Radich, a 29-year-old builder from Blenheim, moved to Brisbane about 18 months ago.
He was drinking with friends at a hotel when he disappeared on the evening of October 25, The Marlborough Express reported.
Hayden Stockwell, a friend of Mr Radich from Blenheim, said he and his friends thought Mr Radich had gone for a walk.
Mr Stockwell found his body the next day in a closed-off area of the hotel grounds, underneath their hotel room.
Mr Radich simply slipped and his death was a tragic accident, Mr Stockwell said.
