New Zealand has retained its top ranking as a nation free of corruption. In this year's results from an annual survey made by Transparency International, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden tied for first place.
All three scored 9.3 on a scale on which zero indicates high levels of corruption and 10 low levels. Last year, New Zealand tied with Denmark and Finland for least corrupt country.
The index ranks 180 countries. For the second year running, Somalia and Myanmar received the poorest marks on the Corruption Perceptions Index, each scoring 1.4, just below Iraq on 1.5.
Britain's score dropped from 8.4 last year to 7.7.
