New Zealanders lag behind the world when it comes to looking after their teeth and mouths.
A Colgate survey of 8849 people undertaken in June and July in 29 European and Australasian countries reveals only 58 per cent of New Zealanders clean their teeth at least twice a day.
Only 40 per cent of New Zealanders visit their dentist annually, the lowest rate in the survey.
