Nearly all Holden VF Commodores sold in Australia and New Zealand since March last year are being recalled.
Holden NZ says the "precautionary" recall will cover about 3000 cars.
Holden has identified an issue in which the pretensioner wiring harness could possibly make contact with a bolt at the base of the seat-belt buckle assembly.
As a result, the wiring harness could wear prematurely.
There is a risk that the pretensioner may not deploy in an accident.
