A New Zealand production company has been commissioned to film documentaries on three of China's landmark buildings, for National Geographic's Megastructures series.
Dunedin-based Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ) will film programmes on the Shanghai World Financial Centre, Yangshan Port and the Beijing Water Cube.
NHNZ managing director Michael Stedman said they were privileged to enjoy access to some of China's most fascinating institutions and people, shooting in rarely seen locations for global audiences.
The Shanghai World Financial Centre, at 500m high, is the tallest building in mainland China.
The Yangshan Port was built in the ocean 30km off the coast of Shanghai, and the programme about Beijing Water Cube looks at the construction of the official Olympic aquatic centre for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
