A New Zealand company is helping in the quest to determine whether an object buried under ice on Turkey's Mt Ararat could be Noah's Ark.
The company Global Intelligence Solutions, which specialises in forensic imagery, is helping to examine satellite images of what a US team believes is a 300 metre long ship lying on its side.
Director Rod McCourt says the object cannot be seen clearly because it is under a layer of ice. The Turkish government also will not allow ground teams in.
However Mr McCourt says researchers have already determined the anomaly could be man-made because of its symmetry and evenness of shape. His company is in the process of receiving new images from the best commercial satellite available and will analyse them next week.
