A promising New Zealand-born rugby league player was one of three people killed in a car crash in Western Australia on Friday.
Diego Codyre, 23, was driving a Ford which was overtaking a truck when it collided with a minibus on the Great Eastern Highway between Kalgoorlie and Perth, the Daily Telegraph reported.
His passenger Luke Adams, 20, was killed, as was the driver of the minivan, Aidan Ashcroft, 38. Another 10 people were injured in the crash, the newspaper reported.
Codyre, originally from New Zealand, played as second-rower for the Canberra Raiders in the 2008 and 2009 Toyota Cup.
