The father of the New Zealand woman killed in the terrorist bomb blasts in London earlier this month condemned her murderers as "treacherous, unprincipled killers" at her funeral yesterday.
Shelley Mather, 26, was on the underground train between King's Cross and Russell Square stations when a bomb exploded on July 7.
At a packed funeral at St Matthew-in-the-City in Auckland last night, John Mather pulled no punches in describing the nature of his daughter's death. "Shelley was murdered by treacherous, unprincipled killers," he said.
"I renounce them as they must be renounced."
An estimated 300 people, including Prime Minister Helen Clark and Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Long, packed the central city cathedral for a service to celebrate the life of the bright, bubbly travel tour manager.
Family and friends alike remembered Ms Mather as a loving, vibrant woman.
