Award-winning New Zealand author Bernard Beckett has sold his latest novel, Genesis, for $250,000, his Australian publisher said yesterday.
The novel won the 2007 Esther Glen Award and the young adult category of the NZ Post Book Awards.
Michael Heyward, publisher at Text Publishing, said Genesis was "a terrifying thriller" which had "huge potential to cross over into an adult readership".
