Support is being rallied for a world record attempt today at a Wairarapa high school.
In an effort to raise awareness for depression, Wairarapa College wants to break the world record for the most simultaneous text messages.
The current record sits at 1072 texts and was set by Canadian company Bell Aliant in February this year.
Organiser and teacher Richard Wallace said everyone was getting behind the idea.
He said students have brought their friends and family to try to beat the record.
