A nurse employed by both Waikato Hospital and South Auckland's Middlemore Hospital worked at one while telling the other she was sick.
She continued to work at the Hamilton hospital after claiming ACC payments for an accident at Middlemore, a hearing in Hamilton was told yesterday. The allegations were made at the start of a Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal hearing.
The woman, whose name is suppressed, faces three counts of professional misconduct relating to her actions.
The charges, which date back to 2005 and early 2006, allege the woman placed patients at risk by working long hours at both hospitals.
