Penrith climbed into a share of the NRL premiership lead and ended Brisbane's five-game winning streak in the first game of last night's double header at Suncorp Stadium.
Panthers hooker Kevin Kingston dashed 10m out of dummy half to score a minute before fulltime to give Penrith a 22-12 win and put them with St George Illawarra at the top of the ladder.
In the second game, the Gold Coast Titans withstood a second-half Bulldogs comeback to scrape home 25-24 - thanks to a Greg Bird field goal - after leading 18-6 at halftime.
