The man accused of stabbing broadcaster Barry Soper's son has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Jon Gary Edwards, 37, appeared in the Wellington District Court this afternoon, where his lawyer entered a not guilty plea to a charge of wounding with intent to injure 23-year-old Henry Soper during an early morning altercation on July 29.
Soper was out with friends on the night of the alleged attack, having recently returned to Wellington from Melbourne.
The two men didn't know each other.
Edwards was remanded in custody until December 7 for a case review.
