Workers at Carter Holt Harvey's Ruakaka timber plant near Whangarei are continuing to strike for a 5 per cent pay rise.
One hundred and seventy workers walked off the job for a week on September 23 demanding better pay.
Their demands were not met so a decision was made last Friday to strike indefinitely, said Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union national secretary Andrew Little.
He hoped the issue would be resolved in the next few days.
