KEY POINTS:
The Northland man who died while diving at the mouth of the Whangaroa Harbour on Tuesday was Maru Pourewa, 45, of Kaeo.
Mr Pourewa, described as a weekend diver, failed to surface during a dive with a group of friends.
He was found after 15 minutes but could not be revived.
