KEY POINTS:
A Northland couple has pleaded guilty to abducting Hamilton boy Jayden Headley.
Jeremy Daly and Tania Thomasen were originally charged with kidnapping the six-year-old, jointly with his grandfather Dick Headley and mother Kay Skelton.
Crown prosecutor Phil Smith withdrew the kidnap charge and replaced it with a charge of abducting a young person when the couple appeared at the Kaikohe District Court this afternoon.
Daly also faces a charge of cultivating cannabis which will be dealt with at the couple's next court appearance. They will appear to set a date for sentencing next month.
