Two caravans and one acre of scrub have been damaged by a fire in Northland this afternoon.
Seven fire appliances were called to the blaze in an area of scrub on Black Swamp Road in southern Mangawhai, 30km northeast of Wellsford, shortly before 2pm, northern fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond said.
Firefighters fought to keep the fire from spreading to a nearby caravan park but two caravans suffered some damage, he said.
The fire was out by 3.30pm.
Mr Osmond said no one was injured in the blaze.
