A fresh breakdown on the Northern Motorway just after the Tristram Rd on-ramp has added to this morning's traffic headache for commuters heading into the city for work.
Queues are banked up to Oteha Valley Rd and motorists are being warned that it will take 41 minutes to reach the city from Albany this morning.
Earlier this morning there was a three-car pile-up on the Northern Motorway.
The New Zealand Transport Authority said the accident blocked a right lane just before the Constellation off-ramp just after 6am.
All the vehicles are now cleared but a second crash south of Silverdale near the Wilks Rd overbridge is adding to congestion woes.
