Values of homes and commercial premises on the North Shore rose on average by at least 60 per cent in the past three years, says Quotable Value. Land prices doubled over that period.
The rises were indicated yesterday in a QV report to the North Shore City Council on progress with the three-yearly revaluation of the city for rating purposes.
Latest available Real Estate Institute sales figures show the North Shore median house price went from $286,000 in June 2002 to $425,000 last June, a 48.6 per cent rise.
