North Shore Hospital ward reopens

A ward at North Shore Hospital which was closed after a suspected case of norovirus is expected to be reopened for new admissions this week.

The ward of elderly patients was closed last week after seven patients came down with viral diarrhoea.

Norovirus is a highly contagious illness with symptoms usually including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and some stomach cramping.
