Norovirus has forced another retirement village to ban visitors - the second in three days.
The Malvina Major retirement village in the Wellington suburb of Khandallah was forced to close its doors to visitors after health visitors were alerted to the outbreak at the weekend.
However, the crisis was now over, said a spokesman for the village which has about 240 residents.
On Monday, Thornleigh Park in New Plymouth was in lockdown and had been excluding all but vital visitors when 12 people came down with severe vomiting and diarrhoea.
Norovirus has been sweeping the country for the past few years and has struck at hospitals, rest homes and education facilities.
