Rugby great and dancing extraordinaire Norm Hewitt is coming to Wairarapa to spread a word of kindness.
SPCA Wairarapa manager Val Ball said intermediate children would be visited on June 27 and 28 as part of the SPCA programme one of the family.
"The talk is based on speaking to the children about how to behave appropriately and be kind to each other and animals."
Speaking after a kitten had been brought into the SPCA with the tips of its ears cut off, she said, "when you see this sort of behaviour you know it's a kid thing.
"It's not funny and not at all acceptable."
Mr Hewitt will be speaking with children at Lakeview School on the morning of the 27th and Masterton Intermediate in the afternoon.
All South Wairarapa intermediate students will be meeting at Greytown School on the 28th, she said.
