KEY POINTS:
Former All Black Norm Hewitt will address a public meeting in Christchurch tonight over widespread concern for the safety of teenagers.
Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore convened the meeting after public outrage over the deaths of two teenage girls run down outside a party two weeks ago.
Mr Moore has invited Hewitt and social commentator Celia Lashlie to address the public meeting on such subjects as setting boundaries and saying no to teenagers, managing anger and how parents can support each other.
The meeting in the Christchurch Town Hall starts at 7.30pm.
Jane Young and Hannah Rossiter, both 16, were killed and 12 other young people hurt, some seriously, in an alleged hit-and-run incident outside the Edgeware Rd party on May 6.
Christchurch factory hand, Lipine Sila, 22, faces two counts of murder and a charge of excess breath alcohol over the incident.
Sila is next due in court on June 6 for a pre-depositions conference.
