The security footage of an elderly lady paying for groceries in a Marton supermarket has been shown over and over again.
It is of Mona Morriss, 83, buying bread, milk and a packet of sweets just hours before being murdered at her pensioner unit in Wellington Rd.
Her face has become a familiar one - but the identity of her killer is still a mystery, six weeks from the day her body was found.
Inquiry head Detective Sergeant Tim Smith said police recruits from the police college in Wellington provided new information after they arrived in Marton and canvassed the area.
The information included sightings of suspicious people around the flats where Mrs Morriss lived and sightings of Mrs Morriss before she died.
People had also nominated possible suspects. One resident found a knife and passed it on to one of the recruits.
However, police have yet to establish a motive or find the murder weapon.
Mrs Morriss lived in Marton all her life and had a large extended family. She also belonged to clubs and was an identity in the town. In the days before her murder, she had told her family members that she felt scared.
She was last seen alive on Tuesday, January 4.
Police involved in the inquiry, named Operation Wellington, are interested in talking to about 100 people and are asking for voluntary DNA samples.
