The Government confirmed yesterday the $15 million it plans to provide for the planned stadium in Dunedin will come with "no strings attached".
The promise was made by Finance Minister Bill English.
When the contribution was first announced the Government said it would "in principle" underwrite up to $15 million of the stadium costs but it was not clear whether "underwrite" merely meant the state would provide money if it could not be raised by the Carisbrook Stadium Trust.
