A fire at a Wiri factory last night caused no significant damage, the company says.
John Frear, general manager sales and marketing of towbar manufacturer Best Bars in Bolderwood Place, said firefighters brought the fire under control soon after it started just after 6pm yesterday.
"We are just going through assessing the impacts to our production and any effect on customers, but we don't foresee anything significant," he said.
He said the fire started in the pre-treatment part of the factory where metals were treated with a range of caustic and acid chemicals.
