A Melbourne man who murdered his pregnant New Zealand-born wife and daughter with a speargun had not shown genuine remorse since confessing to the crime, the Supreme Court in Victoria heard yesterday.
Crown prosecutor Jeremy Rapke, QC, said John Myles Sharpe only showed signs of remorse when he realised he was about to be caught.
He called for Sharpe to be sentenced to life with no parole.
