There have been no reports of any New Zealanders being injured or killed in the terrorist attacks in Jordan which have killed at least 57 people, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) says.
The blasts rocked luxury hotels in the capital, Amman, in quick succession, just before 9pm (8am NZT).
MFAT spokeswoman Emma Reilly said the ministry didn't expect any update until later this evening, as it was now nighttime in Jordan.
No one had expressed any concern about missing relatives, she added.
The Jordanian government said two blasts appeared to have been caused by bombers with suicide belts, and a third involved a suicide car bomb.
Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Moasher said a suicide bomber who blew himself up in a hotel ballroom during a wedding reception at the Radisson caused the most casualties.
Most victims were Jordanians, he said.
The other suicide bomber targeted the Grand Hyatt, while a car bomber attempted to cross a security barrier outside the Days Inn, which is near the Israeli embassy.
