KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing for witnesses and information as they investigate an incident in which a young blonde woman was seen being snatched by two men from a Christchurch street on Friday.
The woman in her mid-20s was seen running towards Moorhouse Avenue in the vicinity of South City calling for help about 10pm, when an older model Suzuki 4WD or similar coloured white vehicle pulled up beside her, Detective Sergeant Leairne Dow of Christchurch police said.
Two men were seen to jump from the vehicle, grab the woman and bundle her into the back.
They then got back into the vehicle and took off on Colombo Street towards Moorhouse Avenue, Ms Dow said.
Police would like to speak to anyone involved in the incident, she said.
As at today, no one had come forward.
Police particularly wanted to speak to the woman involved to confirm her safety, Ms Dow said.
