KEY POINTS:
A man whose body was washed up on rocks near Raglan this week was not wearing a life jacket when he fell off a boat.
Sergeant Brent Wallace of Raglan said yesterday the man, 53, was last seen by his partner's sister heading out alone on a boat from Raglan.
"It appears the boat has failed to negotiate the bar and he has been swept from the vessel."
