KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing for any information to find a man who robbed a woman at knife-point in her Feilding home yesterday.
Feilding Sergeant Ashley Gurney said police had no leads who the attacker was, but were keeping an open mind.
The woman was attacked as she arrived home about 1.15pm.
As she unlocked the door, the offender approached her from behind and held a knife to her throat, telling her he would kill her if she didn't cooperate.
The man, who was wearing a black balaclava and black knitted gloves, took a small amount of cash from her wallet then fled.
"We are speaking again to the woman on Monday, when she has calmed down. Understandably, she is quite traumatised by the attack," he said.
Police describe the attacker as either a Maori or Pacific Islander, of solid build and about 183cm tall.
He was wearing blue jeans ripped on the left leg and a short-sleeved shirt.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area of Timona Park, East St and Fairview Ave or anyone with information.
