The Department of Internal Affairs is not looking any further into an incident that has seen SkyCity Entertainment's Auckland casino scammed out of more than $2 million.
Earlier this week, the casino acknowledged a group of Asian gamblers had left the country after running up a gambling debt to the casino.
Gambling law prohibits casinos from extending credit to gamblers for the purpose of gambling, however casinos are able to accept cheques from patrons on the basis the credit is being advanced by another party.
In response to queries lodged by Newstalk ZB, the Department of Internal Affairs says it is satisfied there have been no issues under the law relating to the SkyCity incident.
