Police have not decided whether to charge a bus driver over yesterday's fatal crash on the Te Anau-Milford road in Fiordland.
Kyungee Park, 44, a South Korean national with Australian residency who lived in Sydney, died in the crash near Te Anau yesterday morning.
Police would be investigating fully then looking at all the facts before making any decision about charges, Senior Constable Andy Grant of Te Anau police told NZPA today.
The bus, carrying 13 Korean tourists, rolled on State Highway 94 while travelling to Milford Sound about 8.30am.
Ms Park died at the scene and her friend, Christine Kyungsuk Hwang, a nurse who also lives in Sydney, suffered a cracked vertebrae. Three others were less seriously injured.
Police believed black ice on the road may have been a factor in the crash.
The Korean tourists had been near the end of a five-day tour with Christchurch-based Grace Tours.
