A group of teenage girls who allegedly caused mayhem at an Auckland cafe before crashing a stolen car in a police pursuit will be spoken to before a decision on charges is made.
Police say they have not yet interviewed all four girls, two of whom remain in Auckland Hospital after the crash on Kepa Rd in Kohimarama nine days ago.
The girls were allegedly fighting and knocking over tables at a Mission Bay cafe before police were called and found the teenagers in the stolen car.
Police pursued the girls for one minute before they crashed into a concrete block wall with such force that the impact shook neighbouring houses.
Part of the wall collapsed onto the car, trapping the girls. They had to be cut free.
