No charges will be laid after a 2-year-old Auckland boy died after being run over by a 1.5 tonne roller in June.
Marley Shearer was struck by the reversing roller on the driveway of his family's Elmore Rd home in Paremoremo, near Albany.
Emergency services rushed the boy to StarshipChildren's Hospital in a critical condition but he died soon after.
Police later said the driver of the roller was related to Marley.
A police spokeswoman today announced the investigation into Marley's death had been completed and no charges would would be laid against any individual.
"The information gathered throughout the course of the inquiry has undergone a comprehensive review by a number of specialists, including the police legal section and the serious crash unit."
The Shearer family had been advised of the outcome and Marley's file had been collated and forwarded to the coroner, the spokeswoman said.
